Glasgow Players Take Central Stage

13 players from the Scotland Rugby team that convincingly beat Italy in the 6 Nations on Saturday were either currently based in Glasgow or having recently moved from Glasgow. It demonstrates the quality and depth of talent based in the city and with several players either currently or having previously studied at Glasgow based universities and colleges, they are clearly an intelligent group of players as well as having obvious talents on the field.
In one of Scotland’s finest performances in recent years, Scotland played at an intensity that Italy were unable to match. Scotland dominated in all areas of the field with Glasgow based Robert Harley gaining his first cap and making an instant impact. Scotland went on to a convincing 34-10 victory. Scotland’s next match against Ireland is on 24th February where we wish the team well.
