Glasgow has a reputation for strong and successful swimming clubs. The main three are REN 96, City of Glasgow Swim Team and Milngavie & Bearsden.

REN 96

REN 96 is one of Scotland’s premier swimming clubs, dedicated to performance and excellence who aim to provide the best swimming development programme for the young and not so young.

The programme is athlete centred, coach led and administratively supported and encourages and helps all athletes to achieve their ultimate goals and ambitions. REN 96 has competed with distinction at West District, National and National Age Group Championships and has had representatives on the Scottish Youth Squad, Scottish Junior and Senior Elite Squad and at the Commonwealth Games.

The City of Glasgow Swim Team aims to provide a swim programme recognised for excellence to swimmers of all levels and the opportunity for every swimmer with the desire and commitment to progress from novice to champion.

Milngavie and Bearsden Swimming Club

Milngavie and Bearsden Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club founded in 1969. The aim of the club is to provide a quality teaching program for young swimmers with abilities that range from complete beginner to aspiring internationalist.
